Development with New Zealand
New Zealand Parliament warmly welcomed Hon. Harin Fernando at the Parliament in Wellington. Hon. Minister had a successful meeting with the New Zealand foreign Minister Hon. Murray McCully following a meeting with the Prime Minister of New Zealand Hon. John Key and Minister of Economic Development Affairs Hon. Steven Joyce.
The Minister also had several successful meetings with heads of Lincoln University for partnership with Sri Lanka Telecom’s new venture the Sri Lanka Telecom Campus to offer exclusive programs for Technological studies.
He also visited the Fonterra Farms and Campus to discuss further possibilities of future investments into the Sri Lankan Diary industry.
At present the Sri Lankan economy is based 70 % on agriculture and the possibilities of partnering with these Universities will explore to bring new farming techniques and educate the youth to get more involved in farming by making it more profitable.

Sean will soon be in New Zealand to be coaching with the lead coach of Hurricanes
For international experience. All blacks to send a Coach to train 30 Sri Lankan coaches to obtain the level 2 qualification and discussed about the rugby academy and official proposals.
