Cabinet spokesman and Health Minister, Rajitha Senaratne said no politics was involved in the shutting down of the Polgahawela transmission station belonging to the Telshan Network (Pvt) Ltd, (TNL) and the decision was independently taken by the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) based on its regulations.

There were no plans to sell the weapons stored at the Salawa Army Camp, Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said.

Responding to a question by a Journalist whether there were any initiatives to sell the weapons stored at the Salawa Camp to Pakistan, the minister assured that no such plans were made by the government and added that if there were any, that should have been presented through the Cabinet.
