George and Amal Clooney share tender kiss as actor collects top film award at Hollywood gala

George Clooney  was honoured with the coveted American Film Institute Life Achievement Award in Hollywood on Thursday night.

The event, held at the Dolby Theatre, was a glamorous affair with the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Bill Murray, Anna Kendrick, Cate Blanchett and Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber in attendance.

The Hollywood actor, 57, was of course accompanied by wife Amal Clooney, who added an injection of colour into the muted red carpet, which featured only back and white looks, in her shimmering pink Prada dress.
