Girl, 6, snatched and raped in restaurant toilet by 'paedophile who was stalking his prey'

A six-year-old girl was raped in a restaurant by a brutal attacker who followed her into a bathroom, according to reports.

The suspected paedophile watched the girl while she was playing in the restaurant in Pretoria, South Africa, a witness said, describing him as 'stalking his prey'.

He then allegedly snatched her from the female toilets and locked himself in the men's bathroom with the young girl when he carried out the horrifying attack.

A witness told The Citizen that the rapist eventually opened the door after the child's mum created a commotion after realising she had vanished.

They said: “He was completely naked and so was the child. The child was bleeding from the groin.

“When some of the male customers saw this, they started assaulting the man."

As anger boiled over toward the rapist, a manager was forced to lock the toilet door in order to save the suspect from mob justice.

The man was arrested, and faces a charge of rape following the attack. It happened on Saturday in a Dros restaurant in the Silverton area of the city.

In a statement, SA Breaking News reports, Dros said: “We have been in contact with the parents of the child to convey our sympathy and offered our assistance in any form that would (or could) reasonably be required in a matter of this nature.”

It continued: “As this matter is currently under investigation by the South African Police Services (SAPS)‚ and due to the sensitive nature‚ we are not in a position to comment and/or disclose any further information.”
