The Prime Minister said that President Maithripala Sirisena’s tour of Germany is a stepping stone for this cause. Making a statement, the Prime Minister said that a large programme is in place to provide job opportunities for the youth in the country. The PM added that they are to create one million jobs in the country in five years, they cannot achieve it through the Lankan market.
The Prime Minister also said that through the election manifesto of the United National Party, they received a mandate for this at the last parliamentary election.
The premier went on to note that they will create trade agreements and generate job opportunities adding that are ready to face anyone who attempts to sabotage them.
