He made this observation at the opening ceremony of the four storied building of the Deputy General M0anager's office of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) in Jaffna on Tuesday. He also stated that the government expected to complete the electricity provision by 100 percent by end of 2018. But the country has improved its capacity to achieve that target by end of this year. The Minister also said that certain countries have become the super rich countries in the world by pursuing fuel exploration while countries such as Nigeria have suffered economic set backs. He added that Sri Lanka has to decide which end it would choose with the exploration of fuel. He added that the people have to select suitable members to Parliament.
He also said that the country would end up in the negative end if the people resume conflicts although they discovered fossil fuel.
He added that it was the responsibility of the people to act with a sense of responsibility.
